Founded by Army veterans and lifelong friends William "Bill" Kemp and James Hagan, the company began with a bold vision and a modest setup: five locations, two chain link galvanizing machines, and a handful of chain link weaving machines.
After their military service, Bill and James built a business rooted in quality, service, and innovation. In 1979, Bill’s son, David Kemp, continuing the family legacy, focused on growth that helped bring reliable community focused stores. James Hagan retired in 1985, leaving behind a strong foundation of friends, family and community for the next generation to build off of.
