The Location
Escape the ordinary and inspire fresh ideas in the breathtaking beauty of Vail. Surrounded by alpine vistas and crisp mountain air, our CLFMI Summer Meeting will become more than a gathering – it will become an experience.
While it is renowned for its winter weather and access to world-class skiing venues, Vail is also a wonderful summer destination. Attendees will be steps away from outdoor adventure, vibrant dining, and tranquil mountain trails.
Easily accessible summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, gondola rides, whitewater rafting, kayaking, ziplining, adventure courses, and fly fishing. Vail is also the perfect place for a “just got out of school” family vacation. Local attractions include Epic Discovery Park, Vail Farmers’ Market & Art Show, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Nature Discovery Center.
Getting There
The best and fastest way to get to Vail is to fly into Denver International Airport and rent a car. Follow the airport exit signs to I-70, then turn right out of the airport onto Interstate 70 West. Next stop – Vail. That’s right, no turns until you get to the hotel’s exit (via Exit 176)!
Meeting Attire
Business casual is the dress code for all business meetings at the Summer Meeting. Dress for the Thursday afternoon group activity is casual.

The Grand Hyatt Vail offers superb services, a wide range of dining options, on-site activities, and legendary Hyatt Hospitality.
As always, CLFMI is holding its Summer Meeting during one of the peak vacation times, so we urge members to book their rooms (and make their airline arrangements) as soon as possible. To reserve sleeping rooms, go to

We will start our afternoon with luncheon for everyone, then we will enjoy an adventure in some of the prettiest country this side of the Rockies (oops – Forgot – we are in the Rockies!)

Rollin’ on the River
Join the other CLFMI adventurers on a trip down the beautiful Blue River. Bring your rafting clothes (we will send you a list) and get ready for a little of everything on this ride through some spectacular scenery and, yes, some white water, too. This trip is rated as family-friendly, so everyone can enjoy the trip. Yes, you will get wet, but it will be worth it!

Afternoon Activities (option 2):
First Annual CLFMI Pickleball Tournament
CLFMI has reserved two courts at the nearby (10-minute) Vail Recreation District facility to host our very first CLFMI Pickleball outing. Rackets and balls will be available for beginners or veterans of this fastest-growing sport in North America.
