Built on Three Decades of American Ingenuity
Founded in 1992, Southwestern Wire has grown from a single galvanizing line into a 200-plus-employee enterprise operating three U.S. plants—making it one of the largest private employers in Norman and a dependable source of domestically melted and drawn wire products.
Innovation That Sets the Industry Standard
In 1993 the company installed the nation’s only mass-production galvanized tension-bar facility, a move that helped it dominate the domestic accessory market. Today, its proprietary GBW (Galvanized-Before-Weave) technology allows chain-link fabric to be produced in heights up to 20 feet and mesh sizes as tight as ⅜-inch—perfect for stadiums, correctional facilities, and other high-security sites.
End-to-End Control for Consistent Quality
Vertical integration means Southwestern Wire follows raw steel from melt through drawing, galvanizing, weaving, and coating. That same in-house expertise feeds its extensive baling, vineyard, and industrial wire lines—ensuring recyclers and OEM fabricators receive wire that meets the tightest tolerances and coating specifications.
Expanded Product Mix & Custom Solutions
Alongside GBW fabric, the firm manufactures galvanized-after-weave (GAW) mesh, fusion-bonded MaxFuse2b PVC fabric, domestic tension bars, truss rods, and gate rods—giving distributors a single-source partner for virtually every fence component and many specialty industrial applications.
Reliable Nationwide Supply
With manufacturing nodes in Norman, Tulsa, and an additional facility serving the West Coast, Southwestern Wire keeps inventory close to customers and mitigates supply-chain disruptions—so projects stay on schedule and on budget.
