2022 CLFMI Annual Meeting

The 2022 CLFMI Annual Meeting returns to the Sofitel Washington Hotel in  Washington, D.C., November 8-11, 2022.  The Hotel is just a few blocks from the White House and other major downtown landmarks and governmental agencies. The hotel is within walking distance of major shopping outlets, historic monuments,  government buildings, and tourist attractions. 

CLFMI has a limited block of rooms reserved at the Sofitel at the group rate of  $339.00. November is always an exciting and extremely busy time in  Washington, and we expect the Hotel to be completely full. Please note that the cut-off date for guaranteed sleeping rooms in the CLFMI  block is October 8, 2022. Reserve your hotel rooms now! (Please take note of hotel cancellation policies, etc.)

U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger, one of America’s most experienced and honored law enforcement officers, will take Annual Meeting participants behind the scenes of the agency which protects the U.S. government. Since taking over as Chief just over a year ago, Tom has also learned a lot more about security fencing!

Instant Analysis – 2022 Midterm Elections

Who knows? Even by Friday morning after the 2022 Midterm Elections, we may not know precisely what all the results are. That will not stop the media – and our CLFMI guest prognosticator – from analyzing the results and trends and talking about what the next two years (leading up to the Presidential election) will look like. There will also be a discussion about what the legislative and regulatory climate will look like for the business community during 2023-2024.

Market Reports

CLFMI members will get a review and analysis of the 3rd Quarter Statistical Report. This discussion will also look at the overall trends in the commercial, industrial, and residential chain link markets and projections for the top opportunities to expand the chain link market in 2023.

PARKING REMINDER: Parking in the heart of Washington, D.C. is limited (and expensive). The Hotel offers valet parking only, but there are several (less expensive) public lots close by.

Travel

Washington is served by three major airports (Reagan National Airport is by far the closest at @ 10-20 minutes away). The Blue Line on the Metro system runs from Reagan Airport to McPherson Square, only 1 block from the Hotel

Weather

Washington weather in early November should be pleasant but cool. The evenings will be cool, so bring appropriate sweaters/jackets.

What to Wear

Business attire is appropriate for all the Annual Meeting functions and events. Dress for Thursday afternoon’s Washington activity and dinner is business casual.
