T H E L O C A T I O N A N D T R A V E L
When you first look on the map it might seem as though Rockport, Maine is at the end of the earth, but instead of being the “end” of anything, it is an idyllic gateway to one of the most colorful, historic, and relaxing destinations in North America. After arriving at the Portland, ME International Airport, you’ll take a leisurely 90-minute drive to the Samoset Resort through the tree-covered roads of the Great Northeast.
Please be warned that traffic WILL slow down as you approach the little town of Wiscasset, home of Red’s Eats. When you have the reputation of being home to the best lobster roll in Maine, people will stop.
